My journey as a massage therapist began as many good things often do – unexpectedly. In 2020, and after many years of dreaming, I rescued my first horse, a spirited and flighty buckskin with a deep fear of the world and the people in it. In an effort to gain her trust, and introduce her to human touch , I began to spend time practicing body work on her. It was in these very special moments that I learned the powers of a healing touch. In working through previous injury, and addressing areas where she held her worries, we began to understand one another, and she began to heal. This experience led me to wonder if the same work was as transformative for people as it was for my equine companion. I enrolled in a Massage Therapy Program at Anderson College in Ontario. Here is where I got confirmation, and experienced first hand how this type of work could have the same amazing impact on my human patients. It also supported my passion for helping others feel their best so they can continue doing the things in life that make them shine.
